Conventions are similar to conferences or specific events, as they generally are formal and feature a large group of delegates, utilising a large venue. The key difference however is that there is a very specific common interest. For example an association may require a convention with MICE based elements to it, as opposed to a tradesman’s guild or an appreciation society (for film or nature for example) whom may require a convention with more leisure based elements. All DMCs will ensure each participant at the event feels a sense of inclusion. They will also handle any language barriers that you may experience from overseas suppliers, thus taking the stress out of your research process and allowing you to concentrate slowly on your event.
